About Us
Mission of BMBC:
The mission of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist church is to connect the people of the city of Citronelle and beyond to Christ through witnessing, preaching and teaching the word of God for the purpose of refining the redeemed and reaching the lost.
Core Values of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church
This statement of values represents and displays the beliefs and convictions of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist church family, and its assertions are encouraged and exercised throughout the breadth of its ministries.
- Scripturally Sound– We are guided and governed by the word of God. We shall give place for its authority to supersede all other ideologies, preferences, and customs in the decision making and day to day function of this church and its ministries.
Joshua 1:8, 23:6, Isaiah 40:8, 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 - Evangelistically Serious– We shall make evangelism and its efforts a priority and will commit to training all members to be efficient in witnessing Christ to the lost.
Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 1:17, 2 Corinthians 5:20, 1 Peter 3:15 - Communally Serving-We know the community in which we are stationed is our immediate mission field. We shall therefore be actively engaged in bettering our community for the cause of Christ by being visible, vocal, and vocational in our local schools, nursing facilities, senior citizen community, and municipality.
Matthew 5:13-16 - Relationally Strong-We believe that God-centered families are foundational to healthy communities and churches. We shall therefore encourage healthy relationships by providing small group settings, and mentoring that fosters biblical growth and promote lasting relationships among church and community members.
Acts 2:42-46, 17:11 - Culturally Significant-We shall seek to impact culture with a Christ centered approach, by becoming aware of cultural concerns in our community, state, country and addressing them through a biblical honoring way.
Acts 6:1-6 - Prayerfully Saturated-We know that a healthy relationship with God is characterized by prayer. We shall therefore encourage individual prayer while providing regular times of corporate prayer as a body. We also provide suitable space for personal prayer on church property.
Luke 18:1, 1Thessalonians 5:17, Acts 2:42, Mark 1:35 - Lovingly Spirited –We believe as the scripture teaches that love for the brethren is proof of a redeemed life. We shall seek to in every instance to display and demonstrate Christ-like love both for believers and non-believers alike as is becoming to a child of God.
